JHON F. KENNEDY

 JOHN F. KRNNEDY

John F Kennedy is the 35th President of the United States, one of the most beloved presidents in American history, although he was inaugurated as president for only a short time. There are many "first" things about him, he was the first president born in the 1900s, was Catholic, won the Pulitzer Prize, and his book received an award from Columbia University. He is also the first president to die during his term.

His ancestor traveled by boat from Ireland to the United States in 1849. At that time, Ireland was in a bad condition and sought a better life. He decided to live in Boston, got married and had five children. His grandson married in 1914 and had nine children. The second child was Kennedy.

He was denied enlistment in the Army because of his health. He joined the Navy and collided with a Japanese destroyer during an operation on a patrol boat PT-10, and was thrown into the sea with several members. In a dangerous situation, he saved the lives of many members by his self-sacrificing spirit and his excellent judgment. It can be said that this episode is a good representation of his character.

He was awarded a medal during the war and was sometimes treated as a hero. After World War II, he entered the political world due to the influence of his family. He did his best before the elections heated up. He traveled all over the United States and gave speeches to tell people who he was. On October 8, 1960, he received more votes than Nixon and became president. The speech I gave at that time, "Ask what you can do for your country", is very famous today.

He meets his wife, "Jacqueline Bouvier", in 1952. In September of the following year, they got married. Working for a newspaper company, she has helped him since he was an election candidate. She wanted to help him as a wife after she had a child, but she also wanted to be a good mother. The White House was the president's house and the family's house.

The most difficult thing when he was president was the relationship with the communist nation. Among them, he was especially careful about the Soviet Union. He is also aware of the situation in Berlin and has even traveled to West Berlin to give a speech.

In the spring of 1961, a big problem occurred in Cuba. The socialist revolution was successful in Cuba. This was a big shock to the United States. Cuba was the first communist nation on the American continent and was considered a US defense crisis. A missile launch site was built in Cuba, and the crisis of the start of the war is now called the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He also hoped World peace. He himself participated in the war as a soldier in World War II, and this gave him this idea. Even today, some of his activities continue. His efforts led to the Soviet Union and the United States signing a treaty in 1963.

He felt that there was a problem not only overseas but also domestically. It's equality. At that time, black americans were often discriminated against in the United States. Black Person were sometimes denied entry to college, and black state presidents were similarly discriminated against. The relationship between black person and white person was deteriorating. He has spoken with a number of black leaders, including Rev. King, on equal rights.

Soviet and the United States were competing for space development. The United States was behind Soviet, including the Sputnik crisis, but managed to reach the moon earlier. But Kennedy never saw that moment.

On November 22, 1963, he died of a bullet in his head during the parade. The criminal who killed him was shot dead during the transfer two days later. Many mysteries still remain in this.

His death had a lot of influence on the world. People still admire him, and one of the gardens in the White House is called the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden. People respect him, including his spirit of praying for world peace.
